Okahu Syrah 2009
Estate grown fruit. The layers of complexity in this wine reflect the layers of soil,sandstone, ancient Kauri forest and clay in which the grapes grow.
Aroma
Dark fruits, Currants and spice prevail the earthy warm plum and berry fruit aromas.
Palate
A spicy sweet fruit entry leads to generous dark chocolate and liquorice flavours. Soft and mouth feeling with nice ripe tannins providing a memorable finish.
Food Match
Fillet steak with mushroom sauce, or a hearty roast lamb, with crunchy roast Vegetables.
