Okahu Sauvignon Blanc 2007
The grapes were pressed in Marlborough and the juice settled and cooled before making its way to Okahu here in Kaitaia. Upon arrival the juice was warmed up and inoculated with yeast and fermented on site to produce this wonderful easy drinking wine.
Aroma
A fresh aroma of granny smith apples is accompanied by, limes, gooseberry and spice, rounded of by a herbaceous and slightly nutty finish.
Palate
A smooth and creamy mouthfeel gives way to melons and granny smith apples, for a nice clean crisp and drying finish with nuances of spice lingering
Food Match
Great with almost any seafood, pork or chicken dishes. Try this wine with Thai or Chinese food too.
