Okahu Chambourcin 2006

Sweet rich fruit intensity and chocolate undertones. It is brooding and dark on the palate, with spicy nuances of French and American oak that adds strength of character.

Aroma

Earth, forest floor aromas, proceed Prunes, Bramble, dark berries and spice.

Palate

A rich and generous profile of dark chocolate, ripe dark berries and leather, gives way to Black currents and spice, with a long finish of full soft tannins.

Food Match

Braised ox tail, venison casserole, or lamb shanks, with mushrooms and some of the actual wine to make a sauce. Chambourcin deserves big rich dishes to match its power.
