Matured in a mix of American and French oak barriques for a period of 18 months, this wine is jam packed with black currents, black and white pepper spiciness and a back-bone of herbal notes. Excellent structure and lingering finish combined with fruit complexity! Very small supply of 150 cases made. The remaining stocks are available the website or Cellar door.
A classic Rhone style Shiraz, spicy sweet black pepper,cranberries, blackcurrant violets and liquorice, rich and perfumed! Lifted bacon, rich plums and nuances of new leather combine giving the signature complex “Kaz” aromatics.
Sweet fruit burst of ripe raspberries is followed by silky tannins across the palate, which together with moderate acidity and fruit sweetness creates excellent texture and mouthfeel. The array of aromatics are reflected in the taste, leaving an impression that lasts for many minutes. This is a brooding wine which has aged well and is now ready to consume.
’Big is better’ with Kaz Shiraz! Game, Venison, Pheasant, Duck, Hare roasted or Casseroled, liver, ox tail, Kidneys, or string flavoured meats, turkey with walnut and giblet stuffing or a big steak with red wine sauce would be a match made in heaven!
