Okahu Desserte Chardonnay 2003
Wickedly sweet, and smooth, this dessert wine is vintaged from Chardonnay juice, in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels.
Aroma
A medley of honey and orange blossom with notes of lychess and cloves open this inviting and warm aroma, while mealy arrowroot undertones from soft oak aging enhances the depth of character.
Palate
Toffee apple memories are enhanced by the quince, baked fig and golden syrup mid palate, which all comes together with a sweet raisin finish. This dessert wine has a smooth viscosity, creamy texture and medium weight that allows you to enjoy the flavour profile it offers.
Food Match
Ideal accompaniment to those decadent creamy desserts such as crèmé brulé, pavlova or vanilla icecream over rockmelon.
