Jennifer Bound
In 2003, after completing a Bachelor of Wine Science, Jennifer took up the position of Senior Wine Maker at Okahu Estate.
Jen is a passionate and dedicated wine maker who combines traditional wine making practices with new world techniques to produce vibrant, fruity, elegant wines that reflect the fruit characters of the area.
In 2006 Jen launched her own brand Manaia Wines while continuing to make Okahu brands. 2007 saw the release of her second brand Lava Rock, and in 2008 Jen and her partner opened The Far North Wine Centre, specializing in Northland made wines.
In 2009, Jen gave birth to their first child and with this new full time job, her role with Okahu Estate has changed to Consultant Winemaker.
